Why I wrote the book
After releasing Knit a Box of Socks, I knew I wanted to create another collection, but I didn't want it to be more of the same.
I wanted this one to feel cozy.
Like sitting beside the Christmas tree with your favourite yarn.
Some patterns are relaxing.

Is this book only for Christmas?
Not at all! While the designs are inspired by the holiday season, many of the patterns can be enjoyed all winter long (and honestly, I knit Christmas socks year-round!). You'll find classic textures, cables, cozy DK socks, and timeless designs alongside the more festive colorwork patterns.
Is this book all colorwork?
No! This is probably the question I've been asked the most.
Inside you'll find a mix of:

There are 24 sock patterns in total:

I know everyone has a favourite way to knit socks, so I wanted to include both.
I'm new to sock knitting. Is this book beginner-friendly?
Yes! While a few patterns include techniques like cables or colorwork, there are also simple textured and vanilla socks that are perfect if you're looking to build your confidence.
If you've already knit a basic sock, you'll have plenty of options to choose from.

What sizes are included?
Each pattern includes multiple adult sizes to help you create a comfortable fit, some even include children sizes.
What heel types are used?
The book includes 4 types of heels, German Short Row heel, Heel Flap & Gusset, Afterthought heel, Dutch heel constructions, depending on the pattern.
Can I substitute yarn?
Absolutely.
As long as you match the recommended gauge, you can substitute similar yarns with confidence. I also include yarn details for every pattern to help make substitutions easier.
Where can I buy the book?
You can order a signed copy directly from my website, or purchase it through Amazon or your favourite local yarn shop.

Will I need special techniques?
